Biography

Irena Fayngold has collaborated with faculty to create educational digital content and online course design at Babson College, Brandeis University, Simmons University, Hebrew College, Tufts University, and at Harvard Business Publishing before joining Boston University in 2020. Prior to working in higher education, Irena worked in the Education Dept. at WGBH–Boston’ Public Television Station–developing cutting edge educational media and contributing to the design and development of the PBS platform, www.pbslearningmedia.org.  Also a documentary filmmaker, her 2005 film Hineini was accepted at 50 film festivals worldwide and its accompanying educational curriculum has contributed to making hundreds of schools and communities more equitable and welcoming for LGBTQ+ people. Irena’s passion is to drive educational innovation in support of learner experience and pedagogical goals.
