Iulian Radu

Biography

Iulian Radu, Ph.D. is a developer and researcher of emerging educational technologies. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at Harvard University's Graduate School of Education, researching mixed reality collaborative learning for maker spaces and informal learning environments. He holds a PhD from Georgia Institute of Technology focused on augmented reality for K-12 education, and has worked with PBS KIDS (as lead product manager & designer of educational apps including AR Cyberchase Shape Quest), ArchieMD (as senior researcher and developer of immersive medical simulations), MIT (as creator of Scratch-based AR programming environment for children), Samsung Research, Qualcomm, WestEd Research, and other organizations creating immersive technologies. He is the founder of the IEEE Virtual Reality conference yearly workshop on K-12+ Embodied Learning through Virtual and Augmented Reality.
