Ivan Vrana
Biography
Since 1990 he works at the Faculty of economics and management of the Czech University of agriculture in Prague (CUA) as a head of Department of Informatics and since 1997 as a head of Department of Information Engineering. In 1992 he gained a Full professor title in Informatics. He is responsible for conception of a Master degree study programme in Informatics, where he also created new courses as e.g.: Projecting of information systems, Systems engineering and Management Information Systems, which he lectures in master level studies and a course Information systems taught at the PhD level. He is a member of scientific councils at CUA and PEF and UP, he is a chairman of the branch council Information management of PhD studies, till 2006 he was a member of Board of Directors and a secretary general of EUNIS (European organisation for university information systems), is a chairman of EUNIS-CZ, a member of steering committees of the branch information systems of two ministries, etc. His research activities were oriented to building and implementation of information systems. He was a responsible person and co-ordinator for 7 research projects in years 1992 – 2004.EDUCAUSE Publications
