Biography
J is the Managing Director for Telecommunications and the Institutional Security Officer at Texas Tech University. With over 35 years of public and private industry experience, J currently oversees the security, network, and data communications architecture, engineering, and video infrastructure in a major academic and research environment. While at Texas Tech University, J has led the design and strategy for IT communications infrastructure and security posturing. J also has design, engineering and management experience from private sector manufacturing. J has been has been instrumental in project management methodologies, intrusion prevention strategies, interactive communication technologies, integrative technology management, and disaster recovery initiatives. His work and vision supports the academic, research, and outreach mission at Texas Tech University, providing data and video resources seamlessly.J has a BS in Computer Science from Texas Tech University. He presently sits on the LEARN Technology Advisory Group and the Microsoft Unified Communications Customer Advisory Group.
