COMMITMENT TO LEADERSHIP AND TECHNOLOGY

As the Interim Director of Information Technology, I lead the IT staff as we support the technology used throughout our campus. Each day, I focus our efforts on providing support to our students, faculty, and staff while we maintain operations and plan for future technology needs. I enjoy partnering with our faculty and administration as we work towards shared goals together.

It is an exciting time for Manchester Community College as it transitions into becoming the Manchester campus of CT State Community College. Our IT department is expanding and to ensure our department's success, I am focusing on teamwork, motivation, and communication. To help meet the goals of CSCU 2030, I am leading projects to bring all new classroom a/v, phones, and computers to our campus.

On a personal level, I enjoy solving technical challenges, and I find it rewarding to educate others to solve those challenges themselves. Throughout my career, I developed content, taught courses, and provided training on a variety of applications and technologies. I have taught credit-free courses at Rensselaer Hartford and later at Manchester Community College, where I have worked for over two decades. Most recently, I was part of a team that developed and taught online Microsoft Teams courses to hundreds of faculty and staff at all 12 community colleges within CSCU.

PASSION FOR TECHNOLOGY

The study and practice of leadership are fascinating and rewarding to me. I have an M.S. degree in Organizational Effectiveness and Leadership from Charter Oak State College and a B.S. degree in Management Studies from the University of Maryland Global Campus (formerly UMUC). I enjoy leadership and have had success in applying a combination of situational leadership and path-goal leadership theory to manage and motivate.

Since the start of my career running a computer lab, I enjoy making technology accessible to users. I have extensive help desk experience, supported many technologies, developed curriculum, and taught many technology workshops and credit-free courses to students, faculty, staff, and executives.

I have worked on a wide variety of technology projects, a few of which include large-scale technology replacements, designed and implemented a call tracking and inventory system, and worked with key stakeholders for strategic planning. In addition to supervising technicians, I have worked alongside them many times, providing support, and training them as needed.
