Jacques joined New England Institute of Technology, in East Greenwich RI, as Chief Information Officer, in October 2014. As CIO at New England Tech, he is responsible for the strategy and operations for the entire administrative IT function for all of the college's campuses, as well as supporting the college's academic technology infrastructure; continuous improvement of IT services to support the school's teaching and learning mission, administrative operations, and services for prospective students, current students, faculty, and alumni; the development of the vision and leading the execution of an integrated information strategy that has impact on all aspects of the college's administrative and academic operations. This includes the student information system, classroom technology, media services, enterprise computing, the campus network infrastructure, Internet connectivity, desktop support, telephone / Unified Communications service, mobile computing solutions and overall IT Service Delivery. Prior to his position at New England Tech, Jacques served as the Director of Network Services at Harvard University in Cambridge MA. His business experience includes IT Director positions with Thompson Financial (Thomson Reuters), State Street Corporation, and Fidelity Investments, all located in Boston, MA. Prior to this, Jacques also held several positions at MIT Lincoln Laboratory in Lexington MA. Jacques holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Operations Technology/MIS and an Associate in Science Degree in Telecommunications, both from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. He has participated in the Harvard Business School Executive Education Program and has earned several IT certifications, including his ITIL Foundations pin. Jacques is a US Army Veteran, having served in the US Army Signal Corp from 1984 - 1988; as part of the Berlin Brigade in West Germany as well as the 8th Army in Seoul Korea.
