Jake Shields
Biography
Jake M. Shields is a Partner at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, and a member of the firm’s False Claims Act, White-Collar, Cybersecurity, and Government Contracts practice groups. Jake’s practice focuses on government investigations and litigations, including in the area of cybersecurity enforcement. Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, Jake was a Senior Trial Counsel in the Fraud Section of the Civil Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, where he worked on dozens of FCA matters. At DOJ, Jake served as lead counsel on several cybersecurity cases pursuant to DOJ’s Civil Cyber-Fraud Initiative, including a recent cybersecurity litigation brought against Georgia Tech.
