James Berg believes his work at EDUCAUSE is a great culmination of his professional background...working to exceed expectations. Prior to coming to EDUCAUSE, he focused on "marketing the intangible" at an international nonprofit foundation and in the public sector via a municipal outreach program. He's worked hard to master the art of capturing the essence of experiences to encourage others to participate. Regardless of your take on the Walt Disney Company as an organization, the time he spent working at one of their theme parks and going through the Disney Institute, laid the foundations for the zeal he has for customer service and enhancing the member experience.
As marketing manager for EDUCAUSE conferences and events, James is responsible for communications, marketing, content management, and overall awareness of both face-to-face and virtual professional development offerings.
James holds a BA in journalism from the University of Northern Colorado, and minors in psychology and speech communications. He works in the EDUCAUSE office in Louisville, Colorado.
