Biography

Jimmy is the Deputy CIO for Academic Technology at the University of Mississippi (UM). He oversees the Classroom Technology, Faculty Technology Development Center, Accessibility, and Information Technology Helpdesk departments within the Academic Technology unit. Jimmy also oversees the technology unit within the Division of Outreach and Continuing Education, focusing on network and server infrastructure, software development, and distance learning support on the central and regional campuses. Jimmy spent twelve (12) years in the private sector, where he was CIO for seven (7) years at a leading mortgage technology company. He has a B.A. in Mathematics from Mississippi State University and a M.A. in Economics from the University of Mississippi. Jimmy is pursing a PhD in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Management Information Systems.
