Jim Gaskell
Biography
Jim Gaskell is the Associate Dean for External Programs and Learning Technologies in the Faculty of Education at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. Amongst other things, he coordinates and was responsible for the initial development and implemenation of UBC's first completely online master's program, The Master of Educational Technology developed in collaboration with Tec de Monterrey in Mexico. He is involved in the creative use of learning technology to deliver professional development programs off-campus provincially, nationally and internationally. He is a professor in Science Education in the Department of Curriculum Studies where his interests were in the social construction of the curriculum. He completed his EdD at HarvardEDUCAUSE Presentations
