Year two of Case Western Reserve University's Active Learning Fellowship program supported year one's indicators of success but also revealed challenging new factors influencing the effectiveness of active learning initiatives.
BiographyDr. James Juergensen is a first year postdoctoral scholar working with ITS at Case Western Reserve University to lead assessment efforts around the Active Learning Initiative. James is a recent graduate of CWRU, having received his PhD in Experimental Psychology.
Although related research is in its infancy, active learning approaches have increased in popularity as universities seek to help their students more fully engage in the learning process.
