James Leonard

Biography

Joining Emory University in 2016, James Leonard was appointed Associate Chief Information Officer in 2025, focused on customer experience and service operations. Prior to his current role, he served for four years as CIO for Emory's Rollins School of Public Health and five years leading centralized IT customer services. James' background, focusing on technology support and customer experience, spans 30 years across many customer-facing industries. James' areas of expertise include analytics, performance metrics, and building positive customer experiences. James earned a bachelor's degree from Kennesaw State University, and an MBA from Georgia Tech.
