James Mullooly

Biography

Dr. James Mullooly is an Applied Anthropologist of Education with a great deal of interest in improving the quality of life in Fresno by focusing of key issues such as education, commerce and industry. With Henry Delcore, James is co-Director of the Institute for Public Anthropology and Associate Professor of Anthropology at California State University Fresno. The Institute of Public Anthropology is a specialist in applied projects that require qualitative research and oversight. We conduct grant-based projects, partner with public and private organizations and conduct educational research with students. In 2009, we completed an extensive study of student use of Fresno State’s Henry Madden Library. That project was an ideal opportunity for us to perfect our skills as qualitative researchers with students, faculty and administrators of Fresno State. That project has aided campus administrators and IT specialists by providing specific policy suggestions based on empirical findings.
