Biography
Jim Riehl has been Dean of the College of Science and Engineering and
Professor of Chemistry at the University of Minnesota Duluth for two
years. He has previously held faculty positions at Michigan
Technological University and the University of Missouri-St. Louis. He
has also been a visiting professor at Kings College London and the
University of Leiden, The Netherlands He grew up in Philadelphia, and
received his B.S. degree from Villanova University and his Ph.D. in
Physical Chemistry from Purdue University. He maintains an active
research program in the application of polarized luminescence
spectroscopy to the study of molecular structure.
