Biography
Jim Beattie, MLIS, is the Director of Medical Educator Development and Scholarship in the University of Minnesota Medical School's Office of Medical Education, and course director for a problem based learning course, Foundations of Critical Thinking, for first and second year medical students. Jim spent 20 years as a health sciences librarian in diverse settings - NYU School of Medicine, Allina Hospitals and Clinics, and the University of Minnesota Bio-Medical Library - providing consultative services to stakeholders and serving in leadership positions, prior to joining the Office of Medical Education.
