Jan Baltzer

Biography

Jan has more than 30 years of experience with a wide variety of information technologies used for both administrative and instructional purposes. Her extensive career includes ten years with Collegis/SunGard Higher Education as Senior Vice President of Client Services, a well as a tenure of 22 years spent with Maricopa County Community College District where she held two key positions at the District Office. As the director of employee and organizational development, she was responsible for business process re-engineering and continuous quality improvement; all technical and non-technical employee training and development activities; and the people, process, and organizational aspects of information technology implementation within the ten Maricopa Community Colleges. As the director of computing and communication, she provided leadership for the planning, development, implementation and management of district-wide voice, data, and video communications including both wide and local area networks, large PBX installations, integrated voice response and video teleconferencing. Jan also worked as associate dean for Alternative Delivery Systems at Rio Salado Community College, one of the Maricopa Colleges, for nine years.
