Jase Teoh

Biography

I am a higher education technology leader with 17+ years of experience driving digital transformation, academic technology innovation, and IT service excellence across public and private universities. My career has centered on one mission: ensuring that technology is not just infrastructure, but a strategic enabler of teaching, learning, research, and student success.

At CSU Maritime Academy, I lead client services, service desk operations, and academic applications platform management, integrating support across campuses while managing multimillion-dollar modernization projects that transform the learning environment. I built and scaled academic technology units, partnered with CIOs and provost councils on IT governance, and delivered initiatives that advanced online learning, accessibility, and digital ecosystems for thousands of faculty and students.

My leadership style blends strategic vision with collaborative execution. I have secured and managed large-scale budgets, built high-performing IT teams, and overseen enterprise projects in classroom modernization, simulation technology, and cloud-first service models. Equally important, I advocate for inclusive, student-centered technology that is accessible, sustainable, and aligned with institutional mission.

I am passionate about:

Leading IT services that are efficient, transparent, and people-focused
Building partnerships across campuses to align technology with academic priorities
Driving innovation through cloud, AI, simulation, and digital learning ecosystems
Mentoring and empowering diverse IT teams to deliver their best work

I thrive in higher education environments where technology must bridge complexity with opportunity. My goal is to continue growing as a senior IT leader who helps institutions leverage digital transformation to create more equitable, engaging, and future-ready learning experiences. I firmly believe that leadership is about fostering better leaders, not followers, and is committed to empowering teams to take ownership of their roles.
