
Jason Nicholas
Biography
Jason Nicholas, Assistant Provost and Director of Institutional Effectiveness-
Jason received his bachelor's degree in Psychology from Minnesota State University Moorhead and his Master’s of Science in Applied Psychology with concentrations in program evaluation and industrial/organizational psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. He formerly worked in Wisconsin for Cooperative Education Services Agency (CESA) 10 in Chippewa Falls, and at the Applied Research Center (ARC), a branch of the Institutional Research office at the University of Wisconsin-Stout.
Jason is currently the director of the Institutional Effectiveness (IE) Office at Northern Michigan University overseeing traditional IR duties including state and federal reporting, data analytics and student success analytics, enrollment forecasting, as well as overseeing university accreditation and assessment support efforts. Jason is currently pursuing his Education Specialist (EdS ) certificate with the hopes of laddering into a PhD program soon. When not at the university, Jason is a husband, father of 3 young boys, an avid runner, and a fly fisherman.
