Jason Kopp

Biography

I’ve spent my career solving people, process, and technology problems for educational institutions resulting in sustained transformational change.  Having been a former Technology faculty member before moving into executive leadership roles within higher education, I have not only the academic understanding to position technology as an enabler for transformation but also a solid technical understanding and background.  I’ve held individual contributor technical administrative positions supporting infrastructure, CIO and Director roles leading technology teams and led cross functional departments at the C-Suite level combining technology, Institutional Research and Effectiveness to significantly transform technology’s role on campus.

My teams have led transformational change efforts on campus and helped me position technology to be a driver to change, efficiency and effectiveness across the entire institution.  My most rewarding experiences have been when faculty embrace this transformation change and become strong partners because of the approaches I use to include them in the process.

I’ve participated at the national level to support Community Colleges through leadership and appointment to the Commission on Data and Accountability as well as numerous conference presentations to share tools and approaches I’ve used to help institutions succeed.

I  love helping other campus leaders shape and transform their departments and am always glad to share experiences, tools and tactics within the Higher Education community.
