Biography

Jason Browning is currently the Executive Director for Institutional Effectiveness at Dixie State University in St. George, Utah.  In this role, he oversees all institutional research, assessment, and effectiveness activities, and manages the accreditation process.  During his time in Utah, he has focused on transforming the data environment and democratizing data availability.  Jason has over fifteen years of experience in systems integration, business intelligence, and analytics, in both the public and private sector. 

Previously, Jason was the Assistant Vice President for Institutional Research at the Northern Wyoming Community College District.  While at the institution, he oversaw the implementation of data warehousing solutions and a reorganization of the institutional research function.  He also led the institution through a successful accreditation cycle with the Higher Learning Commission.

Jason has also served as a reporting and analytics consultant, university controller, and financial administrator.  In the private sector, he has served as an analytics consultant with Discover Financial Services and a bank examiner with the Federal Reserve System.
