Biography
Jason Young is the Senior Systems Engineer for the National eXtension Initiative. eXtension is in the process of building a national repository of information aggregated from sources throughout the land-grant system. Jason is responsible for engineering, deploying, and maintaining the technical and functional infrastructure for the National eXtension initiative and for providing technical leadership in regards to systems and infrastructure to all 107 land-grant universities nationwide. Prior to eXtension - Jason was the Systems Manager for the NC State University College of Engineering, developing the technical infrastructure for a new and unique model of student-owned and remote access to computing resources. Jason has a Bachelor's of Science in Computer Science from NC State University and was the 1999 winner of the NC Governor's Award for Excellence in Innovation.
