Jay Bhatt received the M.S. in Library and Information Science from Drexel Univeristy in 1997 and M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering also from Drexel in 1986. He joined the Hagerty Library as an Information Services librarian for Engineering in December 1997. He is actively involved with the collection development in engineering emphasizing electronic resources, outreach to faculty and students to teach and inform new electronic resources and assisting faculty and students in their information retrieval process. He is also interested in information competencies for engineering faculty and students since more resources are now available electronically, and learning these resources is becoming significantly important in their scholarly research. He loves mentoring and working with students. He is actively involved with the Engineering Libraries Division of the ASEE and the International Association of Technological University Libraries (IATUL). He is the 2003 recepient of Drexel University's Harold Myers Distinguished Service Award.
