Jeannie Zappe

Biography

Jeannie Zappe is a consultant, trainer and frequent speaker. She was employed at Bucknell University for 19 years and was most recently Interim Co-Director of Information Services and Resources at Bucknell University, where she oversaw a merged IT/library organization of 85 staff, operating and capital budgets of over $8 million, and led various technology projects and initiatives. Prior to this appointment, she was Director of Service Integration for ISR, serving on the organization's leadership team, managing the front-line technology support group, and guiding the ongoing organizational development and service focus in the merged IT/library environment at Bucknell. Her responsibilities also included managing the centralized functions of the department's contingent of 200+ student employees. She has worked in a number of information technology roles at Bucknell, including user support, training, hiring and staff development. She served on the faculty of the EDUCAUSE Institute Management Program from 1998 to 2003, where she taught management skills to aspiring IT leaders in higher education. In 2002 and 2003, Jeannie served as a faculty member in the CAUDIT/EDUCAUSE Management Institute held in Australia. Prior to that, Jeannie was also a visiting full-time lecturer in the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. Jeannie has a Bachelor of Science in Quantitative Business Analysis from Penn State University and a Master of Science in Business Administration from Bucknell University. Jeannie facilitates workshops on various organizational development topics, provides consulting services in the user services and help desk areas, and is a skilled meeting and process improvement facilitator.
