Jeannette E. Riley received her Ph.D. in English in 1998 from the University of New Mexico. She is currently the Academic Director of Online Education and Professor of English and Women's Studies at UMass Dartmouth. Riley';s research interests focus on women's literature, with an emphasis on contemporary women writers and feminist theory, and she has published articles on Eavan Boland, Terry Tempest Williams, Adrienne Rich, and Toni Morrison, as well as articles on online teaching and learning.
