Biography

More than 25 years in university admissions and over nine years serving Sierra-Cedar as Senior Consultant.  Mr. Rivell served in upper management as well as system implementation and upgrade functional lead roles with a focus on admissions and enrollment services business processes, functions, and technology support. Initially, Mr. Rivell served as deputy director in the office of admissions for the University of Delaware where he participated as project team member and functional lead for the initial PeopleSoft 8.9 Recruiting and Admissions implementation and subsequent PeopleSoft 8.9 to 9.0 upgrade projects. Plus, he initiated and led the successful implementation of document imaging within enrollment services units.

Most recently, Mr. Rivell’s PeopleSoft 9.2 experience includes supporting the University of Massachusetts System where integrations with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and external systems (CRM/Slate) were required.  He is currently assisting the University of California Santa Cruz with an assessment of business processes while providing admissions maintenance support for the unit.  In addition, he is actively assisting Hobart & William Smith Colleges and University Massachusetts Amherst with Campus Solutions/Slate integrations.  In preceding project assignments, Mr. Rivell conducted a comprehensive business process review for the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education and he led the Michigan State University’s successful PeopleSoft 9.2 Recruiting and Admission implementation which included the use of Evaluation Management. Additional projects include the University of Florida’s and Pennsylvania State University’s successful Recruiting and Admissions implementations as well as St. Petersburg College PeopleSoft 9.2 Recruiting and Admissions upgrade where he served as a functional lead. Mr. Rivell holds a master of education degree from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor of arts degree from Lock Haven State College.
