Jeff Brown
Biography
Dr. Jeff Brown is a Professor in the department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. His research interests include Computer Aided Geometric Design and Computational Geometry. He has extensive experience with Internet technology - developing and teaching online mathematics courses and serving as the Web Course Development Team Leader for UNCW. He has worked as a consultant on programming and technology training projects for a variety of business and government organizations. Dr. Brown developed and taught an Advanced Web Programming course for the UNCW Computer Science Department. He wrote the prototype and served as the lead software developer for GridNexus, a Grid computing project involving UNCW, WCU, NCSU, NCCU and Cape Fear Community College. Currently, Dr. Brown is working with the Internet Technology Services Division of UNCW to develop interactive SMS, WAP and Java applications for mobile devices.EDUCAUSE Presentations
