Biography

I have worked in IT at Miami University for 11 years.  Starting in the College of Engineering and Computing and then accepting my current position in Central IT.  Currently, I am the Manager of Enterprise Database & Systems Operation where I oversee a team that manages core infrastructure including Oracle DB Cluster, VMware Virtualization Cluster, and primary SAN Storage.  I believe that infrastructure can be made more stable through the use of software development methodologies, or Infrastructure as Code. I enable and encourage my team to use this approach when it is applicable.

I am also an alumnus of Miami University. I earned a B.S. in Applied Science (Computer Engineering) from the College of Engineering and Computing.

At Miami University I am involved in two student organizations.  As a private pilot, I am an advisor of the Miami University Flying Club and as an automotive enthusiast advises the Miami Motorsports Club.
