Biography
Jeff Bernhard is Assistant Director for ITS Client Services and Support at the Harvard College Library, where he leads a staff of 7 who provide desktop and end user support on the technology needs of the 13 Harvard College Libraries, located across 15 locations within Harvard’s Faculty of Arts and Sciences. Jeff’s responsibilities include; Tracking helpdesk related activities, oversees technical desktop support, schedules work assignments for computer support staff, reviews hardware/software needs with department heads and managers, plans for future hardware/software needs, maintains replacement schedules and coordinates upgrades, provides training and other professional development opportunities for the computer support staff, oversees the HCL IT Liaison program, plans/manages large IT-related projects, develops and manages budgets for desktop computer hardware and software, researches/recommends new technology and services.
