Biography
Jeff Cohen is the project team leader for the ITCS Software Packaging Team, Information Technology Central Services at the University of Michigan (http://www.itcs.umich.edu/) . Jeff also participates in the ITCS's e-mail based Online Consulting service, which provides consulting on a wide variety of technical topics to faculty, staff, students and alumni. Prior to his 11 years with the University of Michigan, Jeff worked as desktop computing manager for CIESIN (http://www.ciesin.org/) and held several IT position in the commercial sector. Jeff is a self-taught technologist with vendor certification from Apple, IBM, NeXT, Microsoft, Compaq, Hewlett Packard and others. He holds a Bachelor degree in Music (honors, theory and composition) from the University of Western Ontario.
