Jennie Sanders

Biography

Curious, passionate, and human-centered, Jennie applies a scientist’s mind with an educator’s heart to reimagine learner-centered education and opportunity at scale. As a first-in-family college graduate, Jennie is enthusiastically committed to creating transformative educational experiences accessible to every learner. In her role as the Vice President of Faculty Experience and Academic Services at WGU, she is a potent catalyst for change and leads transformation initiatives impacting 2600+ faculty and 140,000+ learners. Jennie combines the tools of digital transformation with the skills of human development to improve student experiences and outcomes. She holds a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Utah, a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Cornell University, and has over 15 years of experience in higher education serving in leadership, innovation, and instructional roles. She lives in Utah and enjoys hiking, paddling, skiing, and otherwise enjoying the mountains with her husband, three sons, and young dog, Camus.
