Biography

Hi! I am Jennifer Perez - thanks for checking out my bio.  

I have been working as a practitioner in higher education for over 19 years. Most of my time has been spent in student services which meant I helped students with their admissions, financial aid and academic degree planning needs. I have a BIG heart for helping students navigate their time spent in college.

In 2022, I started working for Northeast Texas Community College (NTCC) as Learning Management Support. In this position I help faculty (and students) with their Blackboard LMS needs. Fall 2022 was also my first year to adjunct teach and instructional coach. Both of which I fully enjoy as side bar activities on campus. They stretch me outside of my comfort zone and also keep me connected to the student which is my "why" for working in higher education.    

Texas is not my home state but I have been enjoying this part of the country since 2006. All of my babies were born in Texas so I have roots. I love traveling, making connections with people, being in nature, quality food, and MUSIC of all genres.
