Biography

Jeremy Gatens serves as the IT Director for Core HR at the University of Pennsylvania. Jeremy leads with positivity and helps individuals find optimal IT solutions.

Using his technical skills, Jeremy has developed AI-integrated tools to improve individuals' productivity. This includes developing a Vimeo video summarizer and a customized interview preparation app.

Jeremy's work in AI -garnered significant recognition, leading him to win the 2023 RealLIST Award, which celebrates top technologists in Philadelphia.

In August, his work was also highlighted at the GBI Impact CIO event. Jeremy has also presented on AI at the Penn Staff convention and the IA (Intelligent Automation) group's inaugural event. In his free time, Jeremy has founded an IT consulting firm helping small businesses operationalize AI.

Outside of his professional accomplishments, Jeremy is deeply rooted in community service, holding roles such as the Vice President of the LPS Student Body and serving on the board of the Philadelphia Area New Media Association (PANMA).
