Jeremy Shellhase

Biography

Jeremy Shellhase is the Systems Librarian at Humboldt State University, the most northern of the CSU campuses. BS and MA in Library Science from University of Iowa, MBA from University of Pittsburgh. Librarian since 1980, as everything from a Clinical Medical Librarian to an Associate Dean.

    In this article, the authors, three members of the Humboldt Digital Scholar (HDS) Steering Committee, describe the process of setting up and managing a digital repository: hardware and software selection; customizations; gaining campus support; developing collections; accepting submissions; and planning for the future, including participation in a system-wide effort to create a shared repository for the CSU.
