Biography

Dr. Jill Simpson currently serves as both Assistant Professor and Instructional Designer/Technologist for the College of Business at The University of North Alabama. She has taught computer software courses for the past 17 years, with 11 of those years being online. During this time, she earned a Ph.D. in Instructional Leadership with an emphasis in Instructional Technology, and has worked diligently with Quality Matters to ensure quality in online courses both at her institution and in courses at other institutions around the country. Her research interests center around online course quality and maintaining academic integrity of online programs. She has presented research on these topics at conferences such as the Online Learning Consortium’s Innovate, Instructurecon, Society of Business, Industry, and Economic’s, and the Academic and Business Research Institute.
