Biography

Dynamic and energetic leader with varied experiences leading organizational transformation, strong information technology (IT) governance expertise, and enterprise-wide infrastructure solutions. I have a proven track record of establishing and implementing organizational and cultural maturity models and techniques to build and enhance high-performance IT teams that deliver quality services focused on end user experience and enterprise success. I’ve earned ever increasing roles and responsibilities during my tenure at Gonzaga University through hard work and results of leading organizational transformation.

I have sights on the future of technology in higher education and consistently set department and staff on a trajectory to meet the new challenges of a rapidly changing environment. With clear strategic objectives, vision, leadership and atmosphere of collaboration I have demonstrated that an IT department can become an engaged, high performance team.

Cultural Transformation – In three years, transformed the Information Technology Services culture by reducing cultural entropy from 38% to 16%.

Foresight - Implemented a zero-base budget model for ITS with a two year operational budget including recommended funding for planned capital expenditures.

Staff Engagement – Re-organized and developed existing staff to break down silos and foster an atmosphere of team work, collaboration, high performance and sustained effort.

Relationships – Established trust relationships with academic Deans and faculty as well as operational leaders and staff.

Efficiency – Led multiple major projects such as centralized computer purchasing and deployment, campus-wide multi-function printer initiative and Banner ERP rebuild that resulted in improved service quality, expansion of available services and cost reduction.
