BiographyJoan is Associate Executive Director of the Coalition for Networked Information, a joint project of EDUCAUSE and the Association of Research Libraries. She has worked on issues related to collaboration among information professionals since she joined CNI in 1990. Joan has a Ph.D. in higher education from University of Maryland. She has written on a variety of topics including learning spaces, net gen students, digital libraries, and assessment.
Experiences gained from existing digital scholarship centers can help uninitiated institutions better launch their own efforts and thereby increase support for the research, teaching, and learning needs of their campus communities.
