Biography
I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Connecticut, and my graduate work at the University of Nebraska. I have been at The University of Tennessee since 1987. I am a faculty member in the Department of Plant and Soil Sciences, where I teach several courses, as well as conduct research in applied climatology. I have gradually incorporated more and more technology into my teaching program, including PowerPoint presentations, web safaris, interactive simulations, online assignments, virtual tours, streaming audio and video, and a course management system (Course Info). I currently teach one course, Bioclimatology, completely online in a combination asynchronous/synchronous mode using Course Info and Centra Symposium.
