Biography

Joe Bonchi is Director of Medai and Technology Support Services at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Though the focus is to support classroom instruction on campus, his department also assists instructors in using technology and provides equipment and operators for special events. In the past 25 years, he has led the transition of NJIT facilities to the "Smart Classroom" amd now "Smarter Classroom" model, and implemented a completely online equipment request program. He is now in the midst of a classroom redesign initiative to make NJIT's classrooms successfully support blended learning. Prior to joining NJIT, Joe worked in the corporate sector providing audio visual support to major hotels throughout the US. Joe is a graduate of Rutgers University and an active member of the International Communications Industries Association.
