Biography
Joe Moses is Senior Lecturer in the Department of Writing Studies at the University of Minnesota and Assistant Director of Graduate Studies for the MS in Scientific and Technical Communication. His current action research projects explore intersections of connectivist learning theory and writing pedagogy. He is designer of Odyssey 2, a connectivist Google Sites template for writing students that employs Google + Communities, shared documents for data visualization, gamification, and networked learning. As OIT Faculty Fellow he is researching the impact of gamification and social networking tools on undergraduate writers in the College of Liberal Arts and on honors thesis writers in the Carlson School of Management.
