Biography

Joe oversees a staff of 66 staff and 5 students across infrastructure, client services, information security, application development, and planning and architecture groups that provides a full range of IT services for the Division of Student Affairs 25 business units (Enrollment Services, Student Life, Student Health Services, and Counseling & Psychological Services) and the Graduate Division that serves 4,000 campus faculty and staff, 23,000 enrolled students and 95,000 annual applicants with secure on-line self-service applications and associated transactional backend systems. Oversees a $6.4 million dollar operational budget. • Oversees and establishes information technology policies, processes and organizational development in relevant technology areas, delegating to the Directors the monitoring and implementation of development methodology, testing methodology, standards definition, configuration management, and systems operations and support. • Represents the Student Affairs Division's information technology needs to campus leaders. Consults with campus-wide policy advisory committees; serves as the organization's representative or assigns designee on Campus committees and boards to ensure proper coordination on campus wide and strategic issues. • Responsible for IT infrastructure, standards, business resumption planning, IT security for regulatory compliance to host and protect financial (PCI), medical (HIPAA), and student education records (FERPA).
