Biography
John Antoine Labadie is the Director of the University of North Carolina Pembroke Digital Academy and an Associate Professor in the Art Department. There he plays a significant role in the development of IT based programs and activities: curriculum development, interdepartmental collaboratives, community service programs and creative activities of various types. Recent projects include a 2002 National Park Service Artist in Residence in digital photography; the development of the new UNC Pembroke Media Integration Studies minor, and collaboration with the International Digital Art Association as an executive board member and juror. John completed his interdisciplinary doctorate at the College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning at the University of Cincinnati, his masters in Art Education from Wright State University and his bachelors in Painting from the university of Dayton.
