Biography

John Bailey is the Assistant Director of Cloud Systems at Washington University in St. Louis.  He has over 20 years of experience in Higher Education IT, with the last 13 at WashU.  John is the cloud subject matter expert for WashU, and currently oversees the University’s deployments of Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, and Box.  John has also served as an Adjunct Instructor in the Master of Information System Management Program in the WashU McKelvey School of Engineering.  John comes from a systems engineering background with extensive experience supporting large scale IT services designed to meet the needs of academic, research, and clinical departments.  John holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from The University of Arizona, as well as a Master’s Degree in Information Management from Washington University in St. Louis.
