John Bruggeman
Biography
John Bruggeman is the National Director of Information Systems for Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion (http://www.huc.edu). Starting the department in 1997, he has directed the growth of the Information System department to meet the needs of HUC-JIR's 4 campus environment (Cincinnati, Jerusalem, Los Angeles, New York). He brings over 20 years of networked computer experience in both academic and business environments to the various challenges and opportunities that a very wide spread organization like HUC-JIR offers. As the Constituent representative for edAccess, the small school discussion group, and a member of the Effective Practices Security group he stays involved in security issues and small institution issues.
