John Meerts

Biography

John Meerts is the vice president for information technology at Wesleyan University in Middletown CT. He has been at Wesleyan since 1996. Prior to that he was the director of administrative systems at Yale University. John is the past chair of the board of trustees of the North East Regional Computing Program (NERCOMP). He also was the co-chair of the technology review committee of COFHE, the Consortium for Financing in Higher Education, and served as a committee member of the EDUCAUSE emerging technologies committee (ETCOM). Finally he serves on an advisory committee for MANE (Mid Atlantic & North East), one of the regional groups constituted by NITLE (The National Institute for Technology in Liberal Education).
