Biography

John Gartin, the Director of Learning and Organizational Development at Northern Arizona University, is a coach and educator with a rich background over three decades in leadership, team building, program development, and career readiness. His background includes Director of Career Development at NAU, the U.S. Navy Reserves, a faculty member at 5 different colleges and universities, and as a NCAA Division 1 and Division 2 women’s rowing coach earning 6 Conference Championships and 1 NCAA Championship. He holds a Master’s in Geography researching trans-border environmental systems modeling and a Master's in Organizational Leadership where his research in the application of Generative AI in leadership, career readiness, and team development resulted in the development of the INSPIRE Methodology of Generative AI Prompt Engineering.
