John Mack

Biography

John Mack is an Assistant Director of Communications Systems & Data Center Operations at the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor. He is responsible for managing the operations and maintenance of campus data networks, the multi-campus voice systems, campus CATV system, and enterprise wide data center technology infrastructure. John was previously accountable for the lifecycle of the Configuration Management process within ITS Infrastructure Services where he defined the goals of the process, established support procedures, and addressed specific needs of compliance and management controls. John is an accomplished professional with a record of success in operations, service management and project management. Prior to joining the University of Michigan, John served in dual roles at the University of Nebraska as an IT Change Management Project Director and Operations Leader for the Office of Online and Distance Education. He has extensive experience in the private sector with assignments at Garmin International and Vertrue Incorporated where he served in various management capacities solving complex problems, implementing new processes and building customer focused teams. John completed his Master of Science in Computer Information Systems and a Master of Business Administration at Bellevue University.
