Biography
John Madey is the Associate Director for Computing and Network Services (CNS) at the University of Florida and oversees the Telecommunications Department. His department is responsible for providing telecommunication services for 17,000 faculty, staff and administrative personnel for the University of Florida (48,000 undergrad). Additionally, his department provides the outside plant services for the campus fiber network.
He earned his Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arkansas and a MBA from the University of Florida. He is a member of ACUTA (Association of Higher Education Telecommunications Professionals) and BICSI (a telecommunications organization for network cabling standards) and is a RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer).
