Biography
Since 2010 I have been Director of Corporate Information Services at LJMU, previously Deputy Director (Corporate Information Systems) since 1998. I have overall responsibility for customer services, projects and programmes, and the development and support of all business applications, including the management of the Universities major Information Systems Development Programme, which includes a number of significant Oracle-based projects. I'm a member of the Joint Information Services Committee (JISC) Organisational Support Committee, a sector body responsible for the promotion of the effective use of IT in HE, and have been chair of the Universities and Colleges Information Systems Association (UCISA) Corporate Information Systems Group. Previously I worked as Head of Computer Services at Edge Hill College, and in project and systems management with the Department of Health, and havean MBA (Technology Management) from the Open University. Particular interests are in the areas of Programme Management, IT Governance, and Enterprise Architecture, with a focus on the all important people aspects of IT-enabled change.
