Biography
Jon Crutchfield is Assistant Vice Provost for Data Management and Governance at Penn State. He engages with students, faculty and staff members to develop and implement strategies, programs, and appropriate technology resources to enhance the University’s use of data for reporting, assessment, strategic insight, and differentiation. In other words, his team works on delivering the right data, in the right format, at the right time, to the right people to help them make decisions which improve teaching, learning, research, and operations. Jon was previously Director of IT for the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame, and before that program manager for mobileND, an initiative to define a campus-wide strategy to integrate mobile technologies throughout the University's enterprise IT and academic environments. A graduate of Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in mathematics/statistics, Jon also earned a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Management Information Systems from the University of Notre Dame.
