Jon Brennan
Biography
Jonathan Brennan is the Chief Information Officer for the State University of New York in Delhi, NY. As CIO, Jonathan provides oversight, leadership and vision for the college's Computer Information Systems including enterprise/desktop applications, technical centers and labs, server/systems administration, network & telecommunications, online/distance learning, the campus print shop as well as user support such as help desk services. Previously, Jonathan served as the Director of Information Technology Services for The Sage Colleges in upstate NY. In this role he oversaw the maintenance and support of all campus technology. He ensured the provision of consistent quality in all areas of campus technology and creates and enforces IT related college policy. In addition, Jonathan explored, acquired, tested, and implemented new technologies and practices. Jonathan also spent several years at New York State Department of Transportation overseeing IT hardware and software procurement and purchasing and senior level help desk support. Prior to NYS DOT, Jonathan had held IT positions for 10 years, beginning at entry level leading up to management. Jonathan has spoken at several Educomm/Nercomp events and at other technical conferences such as EduComm and Acuta. Jonathan has also published an article in the ACUTA Journal for information communications in Higher Education titled Maximizing the IT Budget for Success.EDUCAUSE Presentations
